Artist statement

My work explores the liminality between structure and intuition—between what’s carefully composed and what emerges organically through process. Whether I’m working in illustration, printmaking, graphic design, photography, or writing, I use each medium as a tool for narrative: layered, symbolic, and nonlinear.

I’m deeply interested in abstraction—not as a way of obscuring meaning, but as a language that challenges the extent of subjectivity. Through texture, repetition, and text I develop intentional stories while still using intuitive processes.

Much of my practice is grounded in experimentation. In the studio, I often begin with tactile processes—monotype printing, collage, or handmade bookbinding—before moving into digital refinement. This hands-on approach allows me to think through making, to embrace imperfection, and to be in constant dialogue with the materials themselves.

Ultimately, my goal is to create work that invites reflection: work that feels intimate yet open-ended, personal yet connective. Whether through visual art or writing, I see storytelling as a way of making sense while disrupting logic simultaneously.
